Welcome to the March 2012 Virtual Sit-In for Public Education, hosted by the Public Education Coalition of UCSD.
To fully participate, click on this Mediafire link to access a .zip file entitled March1_open_index_file_for_virtual_sitin.

Once there, download the .zip file to your computer.
Open the folder, find the index.html page, and paste it into a new browser window (Works for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or any other browser).
Once the index page opens on your browser, scroll down to the link “enter the action”. Click that, and you will enter the virtual sit-in.
Once this browser window is open, you can just sit back and relax, or open a new browser window and do anything else you need to do, BUT LEAVE THE ACTION WINDOW OPEN IN THE BACKGROUND, THE LONGER THE BETTER.
You can also click the SPAWN link to open multiple windows and make the sit-in more effective.
NOTE: While you may be apprehensive about downloading anything, the folder only has 4 simple HTML pages, and only the index.html page needs to be copied and pasted into the browser.
IT IS CRUCIAL THAT AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE DOWNLOAD THE FILE AND RE-UPLOAD IT FROM THEIR COMPUTER. THIS CREATES A LOCALIZED, DECENTRALIZED NETWORK THAT IS MUCH HARDER TO TAKE DOWN.

ONCE YOU ARE PARTICIPATING, TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO PARTICIPATE. FORWARD EMAILS, POST ON FACEBOOK & TWITTER, AND ACCESS THE SITE FROM PUBLIC COMPUTERS.
